Frequently Asked Questions
What animals are most common?
Elephants and hippos are almost guaranteed. Giraffe, zebra, antelope, crocodiles, and incredible birdlife are very common. Big cats (lion, leopard) are possible in Chobe but never guaranteed.
Do I need special camera equipment?
A zoom lens helps for wildlife photography but is not required. Smartphones with good zoom work for casual photos. The guides help position you for the best shots.
Is this suitable for non-walkers?
Most activities are vehicle or boat-based. The rhino walk requires 1-2 hours on foot. If walking is difficult, we can substitute with a vehicle safari instead.
Can we see the Big Five?
Lion, elephant, buffalo, and leopard are all present in Chobe. Rhino are seen on the walking safari in Mosi-oa-Tunya. Sightings depend on the day, but elephant and rhino are very likely.
